I finally got my iPod. “Got”, not “bought”. That makes it all the more special. It's the basic 1GB iPod Shuffle with no screen whatsoever. It is sleek - pretty high on cool quotient. I’m not a have-not anymore.
There are roughly 3 billion reviews of iPod Shuffle on the net and I don't want to add a puny one to that number.
But I suspect that the last time when I managed to leave my cozy quilt in the early morning to jog in (spite of) the Delhi winter fog, the idea of listening to my iPod added to the motivation in some way. It's not been motivating enough since then though.
And yeah, if you looked at the image, the book under the iPod is One Night @ The Call Center by Chetan Bhagat. It’s not as good as his last one – Five Point Someone but still readable. I think the USP of both the books is that you relate to them very easily. I have met and am friends with the kind of people he writes about, I have been to the places he mentions (32d milestone, malls in Gurgaon, IIT etc.) and though I haven’t studied in IIT, I could relate to most of the things in Five Point Someone (except the rigorous studies part of course - NSIT is very similar in all other aspects).

iPod shuffle RULES!!
more than any other model..
not because I have it and could not buy the others... but because I chose to buy it!!
There are about 6.5 Billion people on this planet and there are (here I get dodgy coz I can't find unambiguous data) as per my estimate some 10-12 Million iPod (Any) units out there.
...performance was driven by a 220 percent increase from last year in iPod shipments to 6.45 million units.
Therefore unless there's about 250 ppl for every iPod who have written a review for the Shuffle (Many of these people might not have heard of a company called Apple). Your estimate of the number of reviews is way off.
But it's still beautiful the little soft baby white iPod lying on the black book.

Shuffle is great. But I like the ease of selecting songs provided by the displays on other varities.
@nishant
Yeah, I exagerrate some times. And I said there are "roughly" 3 billion reviews - didn't say how rough the estimate is :)
Wow, we are on the same wavelength! Thank you for finding my blog. And I come to visit and voila! iPod Shuffle! I was just looking at them on eBay. For the reason of "If I have one, maybe I will be more motivated to walk in the mornings!"
I am spoiled because I have the video iPod as a bonus from work, but I think the smallness of the shuffle makes it ideal for jogging and walking... and just load on some workout songs and go boogie, eh?
Nice to meet you!
